BRHS alumni gather for annual lunch
Boothbay Region High School (BRHS) students past and present filled Kaler’s Restaurant June 1 to celebrate the Class of 2025 during the annual alumni lunch and fundraiser. Alumni from the Classes of 1963 to 2023 were there celebrating the seniors.
Guests were treated to a fully stocked taco bar, plus regular food and drink service from Kaler’s. The venue also had a special connection to the graduating class as seniors Abigail Clark and Maddie Orchard are longtime employees. Alumni Association member Jen Orchard said the event raised about $500 for the association.
“To me, being an alumni is history, tradition, happiness, memories. No matter where you go, you'll always be home at BRHS,” Bonnie Pinkham Wormwood, Class of 1993, told attendees.
Wormword said the association hopes to expand its offerings beyond just fundraising for Grand March and graduation decorations. This includes a potential alumni baseball and softball game, merchandise, scholarships and the return of the alumni banquet. In addition, they are creating a database to connect former and current students.
Jen Orchard said the association is working with the high school to create a mentorship program for a student to help create the database and run the organization’s social media.
