The SBHCs are located on school campuses and are staffed by MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital providers. The Centers offer convenient access to care for students as their parents, who can remain working while their child gets care at school. Services include well-child checks, immunizations, treatment for common illnesses and injuries, and reproductive health services.
Care is available to all students, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. SBHCs accept private insurance, MaineCare and self-payment. Staff can also help families who qualify to enroll in MaineCare or the Care Partners program, which can help students access additional support.
