Dear Editor:

Yesterday (July 21), Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth appeared before the Senate Appropriations Committee, chaired by Sen. Susan Collins, seeking billions more dollars for the Iran War. I checked her official website today for any statement or press release.

Crickets.

There was, however, a release about marching in the Potato Blossom Parade.

What good is seniority if it isn't used to ask the tough questions? Susan Collins has repeatedly failed to hold this administration accountable for a reckless, inflation-driving war.
