Boothbay Region Historical Society welcomes two new trustees
The Boothbay Region Historical Society has two new trustees, Pat Brunell and Liz Ullrich.
Brunell spent most of her life in northern New Jersey where she worked as a reference librarian in several public libraries. She and her husband Duane and their two young daughters moved to Boothbay Harbor in 2000 when Duane took a job with the Maine DOT. Pat worked as head librarian at the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library from 2002-2006. Pat was an early volunteer with our digitization project. She is now working on the Register project.
Ullrich grew up in Wooster, Ohio, and graduated from Wittenberg University. She moved to New Hampshire where she worked in purchasing and marketing, earned a master’s degree in education and library science, to then embark on a second career as a school librarian. She retired to East Boothbay in 2021. She has three children and two grandchildren who love visiting Maine. Liz is passionate about libraries, museums, genealogy, and antiquarian books. For the past 18 months Liz has been volunteering with scanning projects and assisting with exhibits and research projects.
