Historic tax credit workshop July 22
On Tuesday, July 22, 3-4:30 p.m., Lincoln County Regional Planning Commission (LCRPC) will facilitate a panel discussion with experts about state and federal historic tax credits as a tool for economic and housing development. The panel will include John Egan of Genesis Fund, Ryan Green of CEI, Carter Jackson of Jackson Preservation, Mike Johnson of the Maine Historic Preservation Commission, and Tara Kelly of Maine Preservation.
Panelists will discuss ways these credits can be used to reach economic development and housing goals, how they work, and how to access them. Municipal officials, developers, property owners, real estate professionals, and other members of the community interested in learning more about these financial tools are welcome. At a time when the need for more housing options is critical, these tax credits may enhance economic feasibility of developing housing within existing, historic buildings.
To register or ask questions about the workshop, please contact Alex Zipparo at azipparo@lcrpc.org.
