Hope you attend the Edgecomb forum
Dear Editor:
Following is a friendly reminder for all Edgecomb residents:
As you know, Edgecomb town leaders are planning a Community Forum on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 2 p.m. at the Edgecomb Eddy School. The purpose of this event is to hear residents’ ideas and opinions as the Select Board and town committees begin their new annual budgeting cycle. In addition, the information gathered will also lay groundwork for the town’s new Comprehensive Plan, which is getting underway.
As Edgecomb residents, we should all embrace this opportunity! We don’t often have a chance to discuss with decision makers and other residents important topics about life in our small, beloved town. Your vision and ideas will help guide planning, budgeting, and decision-making about Edgecomb’s future.
Some topics that may be discussed include:
• What do we value most about Edgecomb?
• What changes would benefit Edgecomb?
• What are your thoughts about economic development in our town?
• What does affordability mean in Edgecomb, and how can it be improved?
• What should be the most important priorities for our town?
• What is your vision for Edgecomb five years down the road?
• How can the town encourage greater involvement by its residents?
I plan to attend this Community Forum, and I hope to see you there too. Our voices matter. If we do not take advantage of chances to share our most thoughtful input, we will have no right whatsoever to complain for the next five years!
