The traditional ride on a fire truck, driven by Fire Chief Gerry Gamage, to the graduation ceremony was enjoyed by this year's sixth grade graduates at Southport Central School, Ryder Baker and Duncan Scott, and their teacher, Julie Browne, and Principal Lisa Clarke.

The graduates were honored at a ceremony at Southport Town Hall. Both will be moving on to seventh grade at Boothbay Region Elementary School in September.

Clarke and Jane Williams are retiring this year, Williams after 12 years as an educational technician and Clarke as principal for eight years. They both will be greatly missed but we wish them well on their next adventures.
